Cortijo Privilegio
Cortijo Privilegio is a charming family colonial farmhouse built in the late nineteenth century and restored in a beautiful setting close to the town of Lanjarón. It is designed to provide our guests with a haven of peace and tranquillity. It is an organic olive farm with some of its trees dating back over a thousand years. We have our own mini mill where we cold press our olives.
The bedrooms are large and en suite with fantastic views over the valley. There is a large roofed terrace, a perfect place to sit with a glass of wine and watch the sunset over the mountains.
Lanjarón is a thriving tourist town with many good restaurants and bars, all within easy walking distance of the house. However we do offer the opportunity to our guests of enjoying a paella or wood oven roast in the gardens to order. We also provide live music, wine and lots of good cheer to accompany these meals al fresco.
The mushroom shaped infinity pool gazes out over the valley leading to the sea and is a perfect place to relax on hot summer days.
The countryside is perfect for walking and bicycle tours with many routes starting directly from the door.
Lanjaron is placed at the gateway to the Alpujarras , a conservation area with beautiful small mountain villages to explore. Granada with all its culture and history is 40 minutes away and the beaches of the Costa Tropical are only a 30 minute drive.
The house is airy and has enormously thick stone walls; we have purposely not installed air-conditioning as it is noisy and artificial. Lanjarón nearly always is blessed by cool breezes and the windows are large. There are fans should the temperature be unreasonably high.

We are now also offering Casa Privilegio, a large house on the same land with 4 double bedrooms, huge lounge, dining room, kitchen, 3 bathrooms, gallery and terrace as self catering accommodation for large families or groups. Sleeps 8 - 12
